The Louisiana DOTD project from LA 415 to Essen Lane covers “urban freeway capacity improvements from Washington Street to east of the I-10/I-12 split.” It adds a westbound I-10 lane from Washington Street to College Drive and an eastbound lane from Washington Street, with interchange changes at five locations and a replacement Nairn Drive overpass. Expect construction zones on that stretch while the work is underway.
